Mentoring at ARU - Volunteer Mentor Application Form

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in our mentoring programme at Anglia Ruskin University. We are very grateful for your willingness to offer your time and experience to support our students on a voluntary basis.

The next steps

Once you have submitted this form we will work to match your mentor profile with an ARU student. When students apply to the programme, we spend time finding out what experiences they are looking for in a mentor, and what they are trying to achieve from this programme. We then discuss relevant, anonymised mentor profiles with the student and the student is empowered to make the final mentor selection themselves.

It can take us a few months to complete the matching process, as students apply to the programme on a rolling basis over several months. If you are successfully matched with a student, we will get in touch with you ASAP to ensure you are fully briefed on the programme and that you are aware of the resources available to support you in the role of mentor.

Please be aware that as we do not know how many students will apply to the programme, it is possible that you will not be matched with a mentee. We will keep your details on file, and assume that you wish to participate in the programme on a rolling basis, unless you contact us to state otherwise.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Employability and Careers Service
